WCB manages investment grade fixed income and equity accounts for 39 institutional clients in 79 separately managed portfolios (for 22 of the clients, WCB manages multiple accounts). The average portfolio is in excess of $45 million.
Although each of the portfolios referenced above is customized to comply with each client’s investment directives, it is managed based on time-tested investment strategies often referred to as products or product categories. Each account is included in a performance composite which is reflective of a given product or strategy. WCB holds itself out as a GIPS®-compliant firm and is examined quarterly by an independent performance verification service. The Global Investment Performance Standards (“GIPS®”), administered by the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Institute, are a set of guidelines that firms may choose to follow when constructing composites and presenting performance results to prospective clients.
